Exhibition "Khudyakov's Metaphysical Mirrors"
About exhibition
A project by Konstantin Khudyakov, a founder of Russian digital art. The large-scale collection, filled with metaphors and an aphoristic-philosophical background, is presented as part of the jubilee project "Refraction of Reality", dedicated to the artist's 80th anniversary. The exhibition by the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts, and President of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia will begin on the first floor and continue in the Art Mansard. More than twenty works will be presented. The centerpiece of the exhibition will be the interactive multimedia installation "Didn't Expect", which includes a digital painting created using augmented reality (AR) technology and animation, with a deep-immersion effect into the composition's 3D scene that will be shown on a nearby plasma screen. The basis of the exhibition — the master's calling cards — are stereo light panels. Departing from stereotypes, Konstantin Khudyakov explores the multilayered nature of three-dimensional space, assembling shards of reality like puzzle pieces in an inverted reflection through the phenomenon of the mirror. For Khudyakov, the mirror is not just a surface; it becomes a bridge between worlds, a platform for experiments with holography, stereo technologies, and visual poetry. Science-art, like an iceberg, conceals its deep layers: behind each digital panel lies a boundless space where mathematical algorithms and the artist's creative energy are finely synchronized.
