Exhibition "Material Culture of the Peoples of Transbaikalia"

A new exhibition has opened at the museum showcasing items of the material culture of the peoples of Buryatia from the 19th–20th centuries. The exhibits are notable for their remarkable adaptation to harsh climatic conditions and to nomadic and semi-nomadic ways of life. Outwardly simple tools and household items are original and serve their intended purposes. Visitors can see traditional costumes of the Buryats, Evenks, Old Believers and Cossacks; wooden and metal tableware; Evenk fur household items; various rugs, towels and more.
