Exhibition "The Hometown in Fates, Books and History"
About exhibition
It was precisely the legacy of Georgy Mokeevich that formed the basis for the creation of the museum. The exhibition also includes several sections covering political, cultural, and social-and-everyday events that took place in the territory of the Asinovsky District from the early 19th century to the mid-20th century. These cover the history of settlement and migrant villages, the everyday life of the first settlers, the partisan movement in the Prichulymye area, and the main traditional trades: beekeeping, pimokatstvo (a traditional craft), weaving, birch-bark crafts, and cooperage. The exhibition also encompasses events of the Civil War and Asinlag. Part of the display — the construction of the railway and the timber-industrial combine — contains information about town formation and the city’s development. The collection of exhibits from the period of the Great Patriotic War recounts the harsh wartime years. These are archival materials of the 370th Rifle Division and the Asino Military Infantry School. The collections include front-line items, documents, letters, and photographs. The third hall of the exhibition reflects the history of the Pioneer movement, postwar everyday life, and the development of the town of Asino. It is of interest for school subjects such as local history, history, and literature, as well as for students studying in the fields of history, local history, and journalism.
