A vivid performance project created in a unique double-image technique — Luminis! The project synthesizes results from a laboratory studying the influence of the external environment on humans, artistically interpreting the interaction of natural energies with living beings, their perceptions, sensations, emotions and psychological reactions. Spectacular installations, interactive, kinetic and light objects conceptually linked to luminescent painting become the basis of performative art, where the protagonists come to life and step out of the art universe into reality. The first layer of a painting is visible under ordinary lighting; the second layer is transparent and appears only under ultraviolet illumination with a wavelength of 365 nm, which is harmless to humans. This light transition produces a mild disinfecting effect and helps strengthen the immune system, promotes the production of vitamin D, and supports the creation of serotonin and a good mood. The author of the Luminis project is Elena Kutuzova — a contemporary artist, the creator of the double-image technique and the holder of a series of patents for painting technology and the creation of ultraviolet paints. According to the author's concept, natural phenomena maintain balance with one another, give rise to each other, transition and control one another. The exhibition is inspired by observations of life cycles, the movement of the stars and changes in the weather, and demonstrates human knowledge about the universe, its physical manifestations and its connection to people. During the viewer's journey through Luminis the exhibition and the space change. The transformation can be experienced daily at 19:00 in a performance when the paintings will “come alive” in the dance of professional ballerinas.
