Exhibition "Lines of Life. War"
About exhibition
The exhibition is dedicated to Novosibirsk’s wartime and labor experience during that harsh period when more than 600,000 residents of Novosibirsk Oblast went to the front, and all those who remained here, in the deep rear, built a second line of defense and offense — in factory workshops, hospitals and even concert halls. The exhibition displays authentic wartime items, samples of ammunition, uniforms, photographs, documents, personal belongings of adult and child townspeople, and of Leningraders for whom Novosibirsk became a second home during the war, as well as items belonging to Novosibirsk residents who were prisoners of Nazi concentration camps. You can also read fragments of eyewitness memories of the war collected by the Museum of Novosibirsk’s Oral History Center, and even hear their voices.
