Exhibition 'Face to Face'

About exhibition

The exhibition provides an insight into the earliest inhabitants of the Samara Volga region, who populated the area over the last 12,000 years. The display features twelve realistic reconstructions of the region's inhabitants from different periods, including: a woman who lived about 11,000 years ago, the oldest individual discovered in the region; a chieftain buried 6,500 years ago in what is now the Bogatovsky District; one of the last female inhabitants of the Golden Horde period, whose remains were found within the city limits of Samara; and representatives of other peoples and tribes of the Samara Volga region. In total, the exhibition presents more than 500 unique items from the collections of the Alabin Museum. For more information call: +7 (987) 930-95-02. Admission to the exhibition is free for participants in the special military operation and their family members. To obtain a discounted ticket, a participant in the special military operation or a family member must contact the museum ticket office with a document confirming their entitlement to the discount.
