About exhibition
Presented is a collection of porcelain, faience, glass and decorative metal from the late 18th to early 20th centuries produced in France, Germany, Japan, Turkey, Prussia and Russia from the collection of the Volgodonsk Ecological and Historical Museum. Many of the items are not only relics of the past but genuine masterpieces of artistic craftsmanship. The exhibition features over 350 exhibits. Special attention is given to porcelain from famous Russian manufacturers: the Imperial Porcelain Factory, the F. Gardner factory, the I. Kuznetsov plant in Volkhov, the M. Kuznetsov Partnership for the Production of Porcelain and Faience, as well as the Sèvres Manufactory (France) and the Dresden manufactory of K. Time (Germany). The museum's collection includes the renowned Meissen porcelain. The fragile and noble beauty of glass with bright festive painting and the lace-like work of silver, bronze and pewter are striking. Among the exhibits are women's accessories, jewelry, filigree statuettes, luxurious vases, clocks and pieces of furniture.
