The exhibition brings to life the history, life and work of the artists of the Red House. The displays organically combine painting, graphic art, figures for shadow theatre and puppet performances born within the walls of these workshops. Visitors will be able to see books and the artists' personal tools, monumental works captured in photographs that adorn building façades, and to feel the warmth of family traditions reflected in photographs and short notes revealing the personal stories of the artists who create Moscow's unique image. The exhibition space recreates the atmosphere of a home; the visitor enters an interior that carries the history of art from the beginning of the 20th century. Aleksey Luka, an architect and artist, designed the interior as an artistic statement intended to draw attention to the fragility of the Red House and to call for the preservation of this site, which is a cultural heritage.
