Did you know that many orders and medals of the Great Patriotic War were manufactured in the Urals? A new exhibition has opened in Krasnokamsk — “Krasnokamsk: The Invisible Feat”, dedicated to the work of the local mint during the war years. It is a branch of the local history museum where, through people's stories, documents and artifacts, the rear's contribution to the Great Victory is revealed. What does the exhibition cover? · Evacuation and life on the home front: how enterprises were relocated and what life in Krasnokamsk was like in the 1940s. · Trades that created the awards: engravers, assemblers, medal-makers — their labor and skill. · Rare exhibits: authentic tools, medal sketches, documents and personal stories of the home-front heroes. · Multimedia: wartime chronicle, an audio play about the mint’s work and footage of the 1945 Victory Parade.
