In the 19th century, during the rapid expansion of railways, many engineering solutions appeared that changed the world of transport. One of these inventions was the ticket punch (composter) — a device that set the standard for checking travel documents for decades. At the museum exhibition, visitors will learn about the evolution of railway tickets and fare control, discover how the railway ticket punch works, and will also be able to compare it with modern technologies. In the interactive part of the exhibition, participants will take on the role of a ticket inspector — they will make their own cardboard "time ticket" and punch it with the date of their museum visit, and will also learn about a historical railway event that occurred on that day. The exhibition is a journey through time. Its visitors will not only see how a simple invention influenced the development of transport systems, but will also reflect on which modern technologies will become historical artifacts tomorrow.
