Exhibition "Urban Estate Complex"
About exhibition
Self-guided visit to the exhibition of the Urban Estate Complex — one of the rare surviving monuments of wooden architecture in northern Russia. Its original appearance has been restored based on historical drawings. The complex includes a residential house, a barn, and a gate. It is a typical example of an urban estate from the late 19th century. The estate features a characteristic set of outbuildings and a traditional layout. The kitchen, bedroom, study, and parlor — four rooms — are furnished with antique furniture and objects from the 18th–19th centuries. A particular pride is two stoves: a Dutch stove and a traditional Russian stove. The exhibition presents genuine artifacts from the second half of the 19th century. Visiting the complex allows you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of past centuries, view old photographs, and reflect on the passage of time... The second part of the house includes equipped rooms for club activities. In the historical interior, master classes, creative meetings, and themed celebrations are held, such as "Svyatochnaya Week" (Yuletide Week), "Paskhalnaya Week" (Easter Week), fairs, and other folk festivities in the style of those times. Theatrical guided tours can be arranged by prior request.
