The exhibition features clay toys from the permanent collection of the Stary Oskol Art Museum from the second half of the 20th to the 21st centuries: Starooskolskaya, Sudzhanskaya, Kozhlyanskaya, Chernyshenskaya, Pleshkovskaya, Romanovskaya, Filimonovskaya, Khludnevskaya, Dymkovo and Kargopol traditions. Each folk craft is characterized by its uniqueness, distinctive identity and beauty, which the artisans imparted to works made with careful attention. Visitors can learn about the history of the settlements and folk beliefs through figurines of elegantly dressed women in kokoshniks, roosters with colorful combs and glazed heads, cow-shaped whistles and the understated "utushki" (little ducks). A special place in the exhibition is given to the Stary Oskol clay toy. Birds, ladies and horsemen preserve the history of Stary Oskol dating back to the founding of the wooden fortress. The Stary Oskol clay toy is classified as posad-style; it occupies an intermediate position between peasant and urban traditions. It is distinguished by the naivety of its imagery combined with the elegance of its forms. Natural colors are used in the painting: yellow, green, red and blue.
