Exhibition 'Kaliningrad – Königsberg: A Bridge Across Time'
About exhibition
The permanent exhibition tells the story of Kaliningrad's past and present, where traces of different eras and cultures still coexist organically. The life of the city since the time of East Prussia and what it lives by today are narrated through works of visual art. 'Kaliningrad – Königsberg: A Bridge Across Time' comprises paintings and graphic works by German artists, among them such classics as Käthe Kollwitz, Lovis Corinth, Heinrich Volff, Stanislav Kauer and others; works by resettled authors – Mikhail Pyaskovsky, Alexander Balabaev, Adolf Shevchenko – who moved to the city after World War II; and photographs from the personal archives of Kaliningrad residents.
