Exhibition "The Track Engineer's Office"
About exhibition
Architectural monument "The Office of Engineer Budagov" — the place where the history of Novonikolaevsk–Novosibirsk began. It served as the "brain center" for the track engineers involved in building the railway bridge across the Ob River, thanks to which Novonikolaevsk–Novosibirsk grew. In 2018 Budagov's office was restored, and a branch of the Novosibirsk Museum called "The Office of Engineer G. M. Budagov" was opened in the building. There you can experience the authentic atmosphere of the late 19th — early 20th century. The museum exhibition tells the story of the construction of the railway bridge, the bridge-builders' settlement, the Altai Railway, and of Grigory Budagov and his family.
