Exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of Georgy Taratorkin's birth
About exhibition
The Cinema Museum's exhibition will present the work of the outstanding Soviet and Russian actor Georgy Taratorkin. A native of Leningrad, Georgy Georgievich Taratorkin was remembered by audiences largely for his 'intellectual' portrayals. He gained wide recognition after playing Rodion Raskolnikov in the 1969 screen adaptation of 'Crime and Punishment.' His other roles connected with literary classics include 'A Purely English Murder,' 'Little Tragedies,' 'The Rich and the Poor,' and others. The actor's biography will be revealed through behind-the-scenes material, personal belongings, and a unique archive provided by his family.
