Exhibition "The History of the Founding of Rubtsovsk"
About exhibition
The exhibition tells the story of Rubtsovsk from 1886. Special attention is given to the city's founder, Mikhail Alekseyevich Rubtsov. The hall displays copies of archival documents concerning Mikhail Alekseyevich and his family. The exhibition highlights the most notable chapters of Rubtsovsk's history: the construction of the railway and the opening of the first school. A separate section tells the story of the construction and activities of the main church, the Church of the Archangel Michael. The exhibition is based on items of peasant household life: from a wash paddle to a weaving loom. The stove model is furnished with oven hooks, cast-iron pots, and pan supports. One of the prominent places in the hall is devoted to the costumes of settlers from the Voronezh and Oryol governorates.
