Exhibition 'History of the Construction of the City of Nadym'

In a spacious room the atmosphere of the intensive Komsomol construction of the city of Nadym has been recreated. It presents materials recounting the first construction organizations: the trusts Severgazstroy, Nadymgazpromstroy, Nadymdorstroy, Severtruboprovodstroy, Nadymgazhilstroy, Arktikneftegazstroy and Yamalgazpromstroy, as well as the legendary people who worked in these organizations. Visitors learn about the founding of the Nadym television studio and can see tools and everyday household items, product samples, machines, instruments, honorary awards, banners, documents and photographs from the 1970s–1980s. Particularly striking is an original railway cabin in which a family of young builders once lived. On the first floor the exhibition is successfully complemented by a unique metal map of the Nadym district, and on the second floor by a model of the city of Nadym made of plexiglass.
