Exhibition "The History of Photography"
About exhibition
The museum's permanent exhibition features an extensive collection of photographic equipment from the 19th–20th centuries (more than 100 items), a unique device for viewing stereophotographs – a taxiphote from 1886, an exhibition of photographs made using mid‑19th‑century techniques, the largest collection of sculptures in the region, and paintings by Bryansk artists. For group visitors the museum demonstrates photographic processes – ambrotype (1851) and other early photographic techniques. The Bryansk Museum of the History of Photography is a member of the Association of Private and Folk Museums of Russia. The offered program is unique for Bryansk and the Bryansk region.
