Exhibition "History of the House, 19th–20th Centuries"

About exhibition

The exhibition presents the history of the merchant families Ikonnikov and Kolokolnikov, their activities and contribution to the city's development, as well as the historical events that took place in this house. One such event was the 1837 visit to the house by the future Emperor Alexander II, in whose retinue was the poet V. A. Zhukovsky. In 1919 the headquarters of Marshal V. K. Blyukher were located here. Visitors to the exhibition will see antique furniture, portraits of the mansion's owners and guests, and numerous authentic household items: antique clocks, figurines, and tableware.
