Exhibition "Their Fates Are Similar"
About exhibition
The exhibition is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Koltsov–Nikitin Days of Literature and Art in Voronezh. The display explores parallels in the lives of Voronezh poets Alexey Koltsov and Ivan Nikitin. Both born into merchant families, they celebrated nature, peasant life and the depth of human feeling in their work. The exhibition presents materials from the collections of the I. S. Nikitin Museum that recreate images of the era and the poets. The display includes copies of autographs, documents that reveal literary connections, and anniversary editions of works. Of particular interest are the artworks: portraits, busts, book illustrations and panoramas of 19th-century Voronezh. The sections are complemented by sheet-music collections of songs and romances set to the poems of Alexey Koltsov and Ivan Nikitin, commemorative medals and themed candy wrappers.
