About exhibition
Visitors to the museum can view the main exhibition of the memorial space of the merchant's house where the Goncharov family lived and where the writer was born and spent his childhood. Museum guests can see a unique collection of personal belongings of I. A. Goncharov, his family members and close associates, as well as furniture, 19th-century household items, books, letters, portraits, documents and photographs, and materials on the contemporary reception of I. A. Goncharov's novels. The exhibition offers an opportunity to get acquainted with the place where the famous novelist once lived and wrote.
