The exhibition extensively presents the work of Georgy Yakubov — all pieces come from the museum's collections. These are sketches, set designs and costumes for performances that once took place in the Republic's theaters. The artist's works testify to his distinctive and extraordinary talent. The sketches and set designs for the productions are colorful and successfully convey the atmosphere of place, action and time. The costume sketches are especially good. Each sketch is an individual psychological image in harmony with the costume. They are all intricate, although simple materials were used. Working in various theaters across the republic, Georgy Yagubov designed nearly 100 productions of different genres. The stage artist had his own signature touch, manner, vision of the dramatic material and an artistic expression of the director's concept. His work is an integral part of the artistic and material culture of Ossetia.
