About exhibition

A small anniversary exhibition of works by Honored Artist of Russia and member of the Union of Artists of Russia Rozaliya Vasilievna Panteleeva. The exhibition presents etchings from 1970–2023 drawn both from Rozaliya Vasilievna’s own collection and from the collection of the Tomsk Regional Art Museum. In the series about the Great Patriotic War are recognizable wartime scenes: the shock and horror of hearing tragic news; anxiety for loved ones leaving for the front; the joy of victory tempered by the bitterness of loss; and “Peace Again” — one of the artist’s most poignant works. The sheets in the Tomsk series depict buildings that have lost their original appearance or function.
