The School of Creative Industries recently and ceremonially opened the exhibition "Melody of Bog Oak." Here you can see what a traditional Mordovian folk fiddle looked like. On display for visitors are household items and artworks inspired by Mordovian mythology. Bog oak is not just a tree — it is a legend! Hundreds of years spent at the bottom of rivers make it incredibly strong and beautiful. Items made from it are true works of art, recognized as a national craft throughout Russia. Guides will explain the technology of extracting bog oak and its unique properties. Visitors will be able not only to look at the exhibits but also to touch reconstructed folk instruments, play them, and create their own melodies.
