Exhibition "Kharms. Life Out of Focus"
About exhibition
At the 'Life Out of Focus' exhibition, Daniil Kharms and his 'crew' — Nikolai Oleynikov, Alexander Vvedensky, Yakov Druskin and others — will let visitors into their 'ark': you can climb onto a soft mattress-raft that resembles a playground, and among strange objects find poems and stories not meant for children. Then, together with a company of young writers, 'take a walk' through Leningrad of the 1930s–40s to talk about the relationship with reality — how to live if the world is absurd? The objects in the exhibition hide the answer: find your own ark and answer absurdity with absurdity; sample the art of life-creation so as not to turn into a sphere, for 'becoming a sphere, a person loses desires.'
