To learn the town's history, it is enough to visit the local history museum. The exhibition hall displays items reflecting the town's formative era. There is an excellent exhibition of railway workers' lanterns, the desk of the head of the railway depot, documents of railway employees, and documents from bygone years on the display panels. The history of the last century is reflected in the stories of now-defunct enterprises and their products — a machine components factory, a wagon workshop, products of the defunct hat factory, photographs, objects and documents from the city hospital.
