Exhibition "Heroes of Our Time"

About exhibition

Personal belongings and authentic photographs of Armavir residents who took part in local wars — in Afghanistan and in Chechnya — are presented to visitors: Kekedzhana Sitepan Rafaelovich, Dvoeglazov Andrey Vladimirovich, Litvinenko Mikhail Nikolaevich. The exhibition features items of military uniform, awards and photographs. A special place in the display is occupied by the materials of the Afghan war veteran, military journalist and photo correspondent of the newspaper "Dzerzhinets" of the Limited Contingent of Soviet Forces in Afghanistan, Mikhail Mikhailovich Solodkov: an Afghan diary, issues of the newspaper "Dzerzhinets", as well as photographs taken with the lens of his camera. These photographs are widely known; their subjects reflect the harsh everyday life of Soviet soldiers in Afghanistan, their heroism and courage.
