Exhibition 'Frontline Stories of Kuzbass Artists'
About exhibition
A cultural and educational project recounts events of the Great Patriotic War drawing on the priceless collection of drawings by Kuzbass front‑line artists from the museum's holdings. The history of each work is inextricably linked to the fate of its artist and to the immortal feat of a person who experienced the terrible events of wartime. Participants will see the 'brought‑to‑life' frontline drawing by Yakov Buymov 'Lviv. The First Day of the War' and more. The project aims to prevent distortion of the history of the Great Patriotic War, to truthfully tell of the soldiers' deeds, and to emphasize their heroism through the collection of frontline drawings by Kuzbass artists — Yakov Buymov, Alexander Kirchanov, Ivan Lyachin, Pavel Chernov, Konstantin Tsvetkov, Alexander Ananyin.
