Exhibition 'Ethnographic Dictionary' introduces the traditional Chuvash material and spiritual culture through the works of researchers of the Chuvash region N. I. Ashmarin, V. K. Magnitsky, and N. I. Zolotnitsky. The material is presented as an illustrated alphabet with descriptions of objects related to folk occupations: granary, bathhouse, and others. Of particular interest are the Chuvash people's calendar festivals and rituals: surkhuri, săvarni, larma, chÿk, kĕr sări. Each panel contains pockets with Chuvash riddles. The exhibition is complemented by household items from the museum's collections: wooden and woven objects and elements of national costume. The exhibition's author is A. N. Zarubin, Head of the Sector of Modern and Contemporary History.
