The exhibition presents artworks by Soviet artists created in the 1930s–1960s. During this period Socialist Realism became the dominant trend in art. The golden art collection of the Kurganinsk Museum is on display: – portraits by Buta N.Ya., Lysenko A.G., Glazunov I.S.; – industrial landscapes in works by Katz I.L., Passan-Sapkova A.A.; – historical painting — in works by Kuzmenko V.S. ("Our Land"), Bulgakov G.A.; – the image of the Russian woman in the Soviet era, the working woman — in works by Grigoryants A.G., B. Siroma, Galitsky F.N. In the sculptural portraits of this period, the deepening of the psychological content of the image is combined with careful plastic modeling of the material. These are the sculptures of A.A. Apollonova, Zhdanova, Selivanova, Savrasova V.S., Matuznaya T.A. Now, with the passage of time, they stand as an artistic embodiment of the history of our Motherland. The exhibition is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Kurganinsk Museum.
