Exhibition "Era, Traditions and Modernity"
About exhibition
How can creative potential be unlocked in the fashion industry? The teachers at the Belgorod State Institute of Arts and Culture know the answer. In the creative workshops, students study the history of costume, learn the basics of patternmaking, sewing and material selection, and also design and produce finished garments. The exhibition project provides an opportunity to get acquainted with a unique collection of costumes created between 2010 and 2024 by graduates of the Department of Environmental and Fashion Design. Most of the collections on display have participated in international fashion competitions: "Russian Silhouette", "Couturier of the Year", "Art Space" and many others. The exhibition includes creative works that reflect the diversity of the world of costume: "Architectural Constructivism of the 1920s", "Klimt Mosaic", "Birds" and folk-themed costumes. Complementing the exhibition are miniature traditional costumes as well as the sketches and drawings used by the designers to create the collections. The exhibition will allow residents and visitors of Belgorod to see the works of young talents from the Belgorod region, learn about many types of costume, and immerse themselves in an atmosphere of creativity and inspiration.
