Exhibition "The Bronze Age in the Northwest Caucasus"
About exhibition
A crucial period in the history of the Northwest Caucasus is the Early Bronze Age, when a number of distinctive archaeological cultures coexisted in the same territory. The exhibition is organized according to the periodization of the Bronze Age (and also includes the beginning of the Early Iron Age) and is based on original items from the collections of the National Museum of the republic, supported by graphic and three-dimensional reconstructions. The display presents artifacts related to the Bronze Age (weapons, stone and bronze tools, clay vessels), as well as several replica exhibits (gold and silver jugs) from the Oshad kurgan. The central exhibits of the display are a dolmen from the Ust-Sakhrai megalithic complex and a tomb beneath a kurgan.
