Exhibition “Eliy Belyutin. The Formula of Time”
About exhibition
The museum’s permanent exhibition has been supplemented by a section of paintings and graphics by Eliy Belyutin, one of the most prominent representatives of unofficial art of the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition is timed to coincide with the artist’s memorial day. It presents the master’s work from his earliest realistic sketches, through abstract expressionism, to non-objective painting and his own late-period artistic style of modular painting. An important part of the exhibition is a section dedicated to Nina Moleva, the wife of Eliy Mikhailovich, author of numerous monographs and studies on art history about the life and work of the artist, as well as about the activities of the 'New Reality' movement. Visitors will see unique books, manuscripts, and personal belongings from the archive of Nina Moleva and Eliy Belyutin’s family. The exhibition of Eliy Belyutin’s works is a tribute of deep respect and homage to the artist and his widow, who for many years has been a patron and a good friend of the museum.
