Exhibition 'His Presence in the World'
About exhibition
The exhibition 'His Presence in the World' is part of the project 'Boris Frantsuzov Days in Vladimir', timed to the 85th anniversary of the birth of one of Russia's outstanding graphic artists, whose work made an impact on national and international art. The exhibition presents works by B.F. Frantsuzov in various techniques and genres: drawing, pastel, watercolor, oil, gouache, linocut, woodcut and, of course, etching, of which B.F. Frantsuzov is rightfully considered a master. Many of the artist's works will be shown to the public for the first time. The exposition also includes a large number of unique documentary photographic materials on the life and work of B.F. Frantsuzov. A native of the Vladimir region, an Honored Artist of Russia, participant, laureate and prizewinner of major art exhibitions at home and abroad, B.F. Frantsuzov helped shape the creative voice of many young artists and trained a whole generation of Vladimir graphic artists. Reproductions of B.F. Frantsuzov's works have been included in various standard art publications, and the master's works are held in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, in all regional and republican museums of Russia, as well as in private collections.
