The exhibition was prepared as part of a cooperation with the State Museum of the History of Russian Literature named after V. I. Dal (Moscow) and is dedicated to the 168th anniversary of the wedding of F. M. Dostoevsky and M. D. Isaeva on February 6, 1857, in Kuznetsk. It includes illustrations by Russian and Soviet artists of the 20th–21st centuries for the novels «Crime and Punishment», «The Idiot», «Demons», and «The Brothers Karamazov», as well as a series of portraits of Dostoevsky conveying the image of the writer as a thinker and prophet. The graphic works reveal different directions and the creative searches of artists who turned to the writer’s works.
