About exhibition
The exhibition presents ethnographic material from the museum-reserve's collections that tells about the culture of the peoples of Karachay-Cherkessia — the Circassians, Abazins, Karachays, Nogais, and Cossacks. It includes men's and women's clothing from the 19th to the early 20th century; household utensils made of wood and metal; woolen products — felt carpets, gaiters, hats; jewelry — chest ornaments and belts from the 19th–20th centuries; woven mats, jugs, etc. Also on display are Cossack household items, Cossack clothing, and works by the 19th-century photographer D. I. Ermakov.
