Exhibition "Diorama of the Battle of Kursk"
About exhibition
Project authors — collector-modelers Oleg Pavlovich Zavalnyuk and Roman Silmanovich Badretdinov — together with the staff of the Museum of History and Ethnography present a large-scale diorama dedicated to one of the key battles of the Great Patriotic War — the Battle of Kursk. As a result of painstaking work, a unique historical reconstruction was created that conveys the tension and scale of the legendary battle. The diorama features: 17 accurate models of military equipment (tanks, self-propelled guns (SPGs), armored personnel carriers); more than 70 soldier figures in dynamic poses reflecting real combat episodes; detailed landscape elements (trenches, craters, the battlefield) and authentic accessories that enhance the immersive effect. This project not only demonstrates high modeling skill but also serves as a reminder of the feat of Soviet soldiers who defended the freedom and independence of their homeland. The exhibition will interest both military history enthusiasts and a wide audience, including schoolchildren and students.
