Exhibition 'Ten Little Niggers'
About exhibition
The exhibition is a decorative sculptural composition created on the motifs of the feature film. The works were made by Yalta sculptor Vladimir Egorovich Shevchenko. The statuettes are figures of seated little 'negroes', mounted on flat rectangular bases. The basis for developing the artistic image of the decorative composition was sculptural figures similar in form that were used in the Soviet detective film shot in 1987 by director Stanislav Govorukhin, based on the novel by Agatha Christie at the Odessa Film Studio. Filming took place, among other locations, on the grounds and in the interiors of the museum.
