Exhibition 'Donors of the Natural History Collection'
About exhibition
The exhibition 'Donors of the Natural History Collection' introduces visitors to the recent additions to the 'Zoology' collection. The items were donated to the museum in 2019–2023 by amateur collectors, travelers, and scientists for whom the study of nature and love of it became a lifelong passion. The exhibition features more than 70 taxidermy pieces (animal mounts) — representatives of various families of birds and mammals, inhabitants of the forests and water bodies of Krasnodar Krai, the Volga steppes, the tundra, and remote corners of the world. Here you can see the beauty of rare pheasant species, meet the wolverine and the reindeer, see the beaver and the corsac fox, learn what whale baleen is, and appreciate the diversity of valuable fish species living in southern Russia. The exhibition will appeal to visitors of all ages.
