Exhibition 'Far Eastern Finale'
About exhibition
The exhibition is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Japanese forces in Manchuria, the surrender of Nazi Germany's last ally, and is presented as part of the international project 'Territory of Victory.' The display tells the background of the Soviet-Japanese conflict and the decisive contribution of the Red Army to the end of World War II and the liberation of the Far East. Unique documents and photographs provided by partners from the Museum of Victory are complemented by items from the collections of the Lenin Memorial and by private collections of descendants of veterans of the final act of World War II. Visitors can see authentic war trophies brought back by soldiers from Manchuria and Korea; unique photographs and illustrated magazines from August 1945; and weapons and weapon models used in the Far East by the Soviet, Japanese, and Chinese armies.
