Exhibition 'Chernobyl. Pages of Memory'
About exhibition
The exhibition is dedicated to the participation of Crimeans in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. The exhibition is located in two small rooms and is divided into sections. The first room contains materials about the city of Pripyat, its construction, and the construction of the V. I. Lenin Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. It includes photographs taken before and after the reactor explosion. It also tells about the first liquidators and the aftermath of the explosion. The second room contains information specifically about the Crimeans who took part in the cleanup of this catastrophe. Here are original items, uniforms, documents, and photographs of the liquidator heroes. Both halls are thematically arranged: a model of the reactor control panel at the Chernobyl NPP; a model of the sarcophagus installed over the destroyed reactor after the explosion. A design solution is used here that immerses the visitor in the atmosphere of those events.
