Exhibition "Buryat Pre-Baikal Complex"
About exhibition
The exhibits include the winter homestead of a wealthy Buryat, consisting of a residential izba, a two-chamber barn, a four‑walled wooden yurt, a covered shelter, a summer kitchen, and a storage shed, as well as the winter homestead of a poor Buryat (winter house, barn, four‑walled yurt and livestock pens). In addition, this sector presents traditional types of wooden yurts. The Buryat Trans‑Baikal Complex exhibition includes a felt yurt, a winter house, barns, and a utility shelter. Also on display is a religious building — the dugan "Devazhin" from the Tamchinsky datsan, currently fitted out as an exhibition hall. Currently an exhibition on the history of Buryat sacred architecture is housed here (photographs, drawings, diagrams of some datsans).
