Exhibition 'Military and Labour Glory of Railway Workers'

The Museum of Military and Labour Glory of Railway Workers was the first to be established on the Sverdlovsk railway line. Thanks to local activists, the exhibition contains unique items. For example, a locomotive worker's chest — a 'sharmanka'. Or a model of an OV-series steam locomotive; such locomotives hauled freight trains until 1925. It's fascinating to look at the everyday items of railway workers; they literally breathe history. The interior displays chronologically reflect the most important periods in the industry's history. There are many portraits — of honored railway workers, recipients of the Order of Lenin, and participants of the Great Patriotic War (World War II).
