Exhibition 'Architectural Delights of a Provincial City'
About exhibition
The exhibition was organized by Svetlana Dyukova, a member of the Professional Union of Artists of Russia. It is held as part of the 'I Paint Astrakhan' project. The exhibition features paintings by contemporary Astrakhan artists — both professionals and amateurs. The works, executed in oil, are presented in four categories: urban and rural landscapes, the Astrakhan nature reserve, and urban architecture. The artists' canvases capture images of Astrakhan courtyards, Shelekhov's mansion, Gubin's house on the Kutum River, Budagov's house, and the Lionozov tenement. Astrakhan sunsets and the region's nature also inspired the artists. Both finished paintings and studies created during individual and group plein-air sessions and travels across the Astrakhan region — to the Caucasian Mineral Waters, Dagestan, Crimea, and Kazakhstan — are on display.
