Exhibition "Ensemble of the Pskov Kremlin"
About exhibition
The territory of the Pskov Kremlin, also known as the Krom, is located on a limestone cape at the confluence of two rivers — the Pskova and the Velikaya. The first mention of Pskov dates back to 903 and is connected with Princess Olga, who was born here. According to legend, Princess Olga ordered the erection of the first wooden church here in the name of the Holy Trinity. The Kremlin includes the area of Dovmont Town — an open-air archaeological museum (1.5 ha) — and the Krom (3.5 ha). Dovmont Town began to form at the end of the 13th century as the administrative and religious center of the Pskov land, with no parallel in Russia. Visitors can stroll through the ensemble of the Pskov Kremlin, walk along the fortress walls, and enter the Kutekroma Tower.
