Exhibition "Adygea During the Great Patriotic War"
About exhibition
In May 2005 a permanent exhibition was created for the 60th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. During preparations for the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, a planned re-exposition of the hall "Adygea During the Great Patriotic War" was carried out at the National Museum of the Republic of Adygea. The full body of material reflecting the events of the war and the involvement of Adygea and its residents in bringing about Victory is presented in thematic sections such as "Liberation of Adygea from the Nazi invaders", "Restoration of Adygea's national economy" and others. A separate part of the exhibition is dedicated to air operations in the Maikop area, in particular the "Maikop Landing" operation. The important theme of personal wartime experience — feelings of family, friendly support and love — is revealed through a selection of amateur photographs, postcards and letters from the front. During the work almost the entire range of exhibits was updated: today visitors can see original photographs of war participants, documents, household items, and weapons of the Red Army and the Wehrmacht that were not previously displayed in the museum's exhibition space. In total there are more than 300 museum exhibits.
