Exhibition 'I Will Say: I Don't Need Paradise, Give Me My Motherland'
About exhibition
On the eve of National Unity Day we present a photo exhibition showcasing works depicting the many different corners of our native region. The photographic works by students of the School of Creative Industries in Saransk offer the perspective of young photographers on a vast, diverse, powerful, and beautiful Russia. The great poet Sergey Yesenin dedicated many poems to the Motherland; lines from his works are the best expression of the exhibition's main idea: 'I will say: I don't need paradise, give me my motherland.' October 3 marked the 130th anniversary of the poet's birth. In light of these dates, which are particularly significant for the country, the exhibition takes on special relevance. The exhibition will feature more than 40 photographs. The authors are participants and winners of All-Russian creative competitions among Schools of Creative Industries — 'VesnuShKI' and 'Raspakovka professiy' — in the photography category. As part of the exhibition program, a series of thematic talks 'The Image of the Motherland in Visual Arts' by art history lecturer Ekaterina Valeryevna Gubareva will be held.
