Traveling exhibition "Heroes of Victory"

About exhibition

Every year Russia commemorates an important date – Victory Day of the Great Patriotic War. Eighty years have passed since that day. The salvos of the celebratory fireworks that announced the people's triumph in the great battle against fascism have long since faded. The events of the past war recede further into history, but the feat of the Soviet people will always live in humanity's memory. Grateful descendants reverently honor the memory of the heroes by erecting monuments and memorials and creating works of visual art, literature, and music. The "Heroes of Victory" exhibition provides an opportunity to tell students about the events of the Great Patriotic War through paintings by Volga artists Denisov A.A., Strigin V.V., Filimonov V.P., Petrenko L.I., and Prutskova E.A. It offers a chance to recall once again the trials that befell the Soviet people: ruined cities, burned villages, and the evacuation of the civilian population. Artists Viktor Yakovlevich Litvinov and Sergey Tikhonovich Podchainov are veterans of the Great Patriotic War, and their recollections are very important for today's youth. The paintings allow viewers to see the beginning of the Battle of Stalingrad, sit with soldiers in a trench, and look into the eyes of artillerymen after a battle. Visitors can follow the roads of war with ordinary soldiers and, together with marshals, stand before the Victory Parade in Moscow. The project aims to foster patriotic feelings and a historical connection between generations. The exhibition is held by appointment: 8 905 394 28 63, Korobova Tatyana Alekseevna.
