Traveling exhibition 'Ancient Cultures of the Baikal Region'

About exhibition

The exhibition presents the results of scientific research by Buryat scholars. The main areas of scientific activity are: the history of the development of science in Buryatia; the natural-historical development of the region; the interaction between humans and nature; the ethnogenesis and cultural genesis of the peoples of Central Asia; museum pedagogy; museology; and museum management and marketing. In total, five expositions are presented: 'Problems of Protecting Lake Baikal and Environmental Monitoring in the Baikal Region'; 'Tibetan Medicine: History and Modernity'; 'Ancient Cultures of the Baikal Region'; 'The Subsoil of Buryatia'; and 'Paleontology of Buryatia in the Geological History of the Earth'.
