Dive into a multi-format world of VR reality! Experience a living exhibition in three formats – physical, augmented and virtual reality – and a master class in VR painting. This is an exciting journey through the legends, tales, traditions and sights of Saint Petersburg. Begin with a traditional gallery of works by contemporary St. Petersburg artists. Thanks to new technology, each canvas comes alive: point your smartphone and the paintings will tell their unique stories about Petersburg. You can step inside the artistic world and explore it from within! Using special headsets you will find yourself in the city’s legendary locations, reflect on plotlines with Pushkin’s fairy-tale characters, examine beloved courtyard wells up close, fly over Saint Petersburg’s main cathedrals, sail the Neva on the legendary “Scarlet Sails,” or witness historical events that took place on Palace Square almost 200 years ago. For those who want not only to immerse themselves in virtual worlds but also to try their hand as an artist, a special VR painting master class is organized. Imagine immersing yourself in your painting and moving inside it while your virtual brushes paint not only in color but also with special effects that make your objects literally come to life. Here you will be introduced to a new direction in contemporary art, master the basic tools under the guidance of experienced mentors, and create your own volumetric painting which you can take with you in digital format.
